Sweet! Let me know if you have any more questions, it's easier than I thought it would be

Woohoo!

Got the axle underneath today. Coils will be here Monday. Rear rotors should be ready Monday too. Just need to buy some tube for the drag link and track bar and I should be driving it by mid week.

All TTB parts are available and for sale now.

Man I'm so glad I had access to a lift! I bet that was a pain on the ground! Looks like it's moving along though.

Looking good man, where did you end up locating the axle? Stockish or forward/aft? Are you going to use the duff shock mounts?

Forward a bit. Not much like 3/8" or so. If I need to push it more i can via un-screwing the heim joints. Gonna run one shock on the coil bucket/arm mounts. If its not enough dampening ill throw another pair of 170/60 Bilsteins to calm it down with the dual shock bracket that comes with the buckets

got the tranny cross member done. It hits the driveshaft and the cat sits right on it so I still have to notch/plate it and shim it up.

Got the pitman arm reamed and All the track bar and draglink rod ends on. Took measurements for tubing to pick up tomorrow/Tuesday.

Looking good man you are really close to being done. I'm surprised your having clearance issues with a stock t case on your x member. I had to get creative with the doubler shoving the d shaft back. Are you getting a shit load of droop and contact then?

Yeah at ride height (or what I think that should be) there isn't a problem but full droop both sides or full droop driver the double cardan hits.

If my damn coils were here I'd be done :annoyed: hopefully they work and I don't have to exchange them! I did a lot of math and hopefully what I know about springs from my mechanical classes pays off...

What springs did you end up going with?

I really want to see the performance you get from them when they are installed. We should take measurements at static height just to get some numbers to compare them to the duff 5.5 springs

BC Broncos 5.5" coils. They are 250 PPI, linear rate

I love mine, although I have the 6.5"/ 5.5" with winch springs. Can't wait to extend my arms to really test them. And they only settled 1" over 2 yrs, haven't settled since.

They beat the hell out of the progressive rate 5.5" rock crawler springs from that other company.

Not much of an update really. This week has been a $hit storm. Tacked my track bar. I foresee clearance issues at full bump, hitting the front side of the top of the diff.

Got the coils, but can't get them to stay in the coil buckets while putting weight on them. My retainer tabs are messed up/tweaked and they aren't working right so I ordered new ones. Lots of coil bow cuz they are so long. I think they will be perfect once I can get all the weight of the truck on them.

My wheels finally showed up so I'm having my tires mounted as I type. Wheels seem like I should have got less back spacing. Only 1/2" of clearance between wheel and tie rod end :icon_surprised: maybe 3.5" or 3.25" would have been better?

Picked up my rear rotors and axle shafts, so now I can start the rear axle tear down finally.

Waiting until I center the axle to have the draglink made. Hopefully can call that in tomorrow or Thursday.
