so i got a deal on craigslist for upper and lower control arms with springs that gives me a 2.5" lift and make my tires 3-4 inches wider per side for $150
so after spending $108 on fabtech shocks, $45 on new bushings, and $80 on all new ball joints i have everything i need(i figure i can just salvage my stock bumpstops for now until i can afford to get new ones) except im not sure if my tie rods are going to reach. ive tried looking it up online but no results, Has anybody done anything like this?

you will probably need to adjust them out until they reach and then get an alignment, which you should do regardless since you changed the suspension set up. was there a brand name on the kit or is it someones booty fab that theyre passing off to you?

You will prob. need to get or make ext. for steering linkage. But can you post pics of the control arms I would like to see them. For $150 it sounds like a nice deal.

i got a hold of the guy i bought them from and he said he got them from truckin suspension, ive heard alot of people talking crap about them but i bought a 3.5" spindle from them about a year ago and i havent had any problems with it. i just ordered all new bushings, all i need now are extended brake lines and tie rods. here is a pic with the lower arm ill put the other one up in a bit

anybody know of somewere cheap to get extended stainless brake lines?

Hey When it comes to buying the ball joints I went to Checkers and had them price match autozones price. So I got my moog ball joint for $24 a piece But if you have a problem I would think of buying them and trying them.

i got the ball joints from kragen for 19.99 a piece, the top fit right in but i had to use a dremel to trim it up a bit and a vice to kindve press it in there and they fit pretty good. i think im gunna have to have a buddy of mine weld up some new tie rods cuz i have no idea were to get some kind of extender:dunno:

found some extended tie rod ends for $50 from truckin suspension. i also found out that the arms are made of 1 1/4" x .156 wall DOM tubing and 3/8" plate steel. only thing left is brakes

thats awesome. never seen stuff like that show when you get it installed. also watch out for the inner joints on the steering rack cause they will break if you keep beating on them

its driving me nuts im just playing the waiting game for parts
the tie rod sleeves are supposed to be shipped out today from AZ to CA so i should get them by wed or thu, ill make sure i take alot of pics during install dont worry. the only thing holding me back now is my brake lines, ive seen on other posts that these might work
Raybestos: BH 38622, BH 38623
i think they are replacement lines for a chevy and i think theyre supposed to be 26" long does anyone know if these will work or if not something similar that will?

Can you post a link on were you found the control arms at truckin, I cant fin d them. thank you.

here it is
i guess its a 3" lift control arm
http://www.airbagit.com/product-p/x2-car-fr9800c.htm
but theres no specs on how much wider than stock they are
there isnt a website for truckin suspension . com like its advertised in offroad magazine, its actually airbagit . com
