problem with master cylinder clutch line

hey guys , im chris. i have a 1992 v6 4.0 ranger . anyway , i recently got my trans re done was stuck in 4th gear. well i didnt have the tool to get my line out so i cut it , and the trans shope took the endlet of the internal slave cylinder out for me . and gave me a tool to get one , well i got a new line and all and i am having trouble getting the teeth in the hole on tranny to catch onto the new plug , is the plug a diffrent size is the alluminium teeth piece clip worn out , am i able to get another.. i need quickly cause this si the only thing holding me from driving my truck . thank you

On a 1992 that coupler on the end of the line should be anodized black
(this sometimes fades to a purplish hue)

If the replacement pices you got came off of a 1993 and the end coupler on the line is a Yellow/gold color it is a phsically different non-compatible connector.

The correct clutch hose for a 1992 is found on 1988-1992 Rangers 1988-90 Bronco2's and 1991& 1992 Explorers



The female half of the coupler (part of the slave cylinder) should be a matching color to the
end of the clutch line.

thank you sir , i really needed that , yea i got it off ranger in the junk yard ill just go back and find another , it is a goldish color , so the ones i want are a silverish r a black?
