Hi I have qa 1994 Mazda B3000 3.0L with 164000km's. here is my prob when start my truck in the cold if let off clutch after starting sometimes it will die out the first couple trys and then ill keep my foot on the cluthc let it run for a minute or so and then it wontr die is this normal i mean it is cold as hell out and i dont have it plugged in???

also..

sometimes when i drive it from a cold start it seems very very sluggish and it wont pick up speed and kinda shakes lots at first until i hve been driving it for a bit and then it goes back to normal when it warms up? does anyone know what this could be at all this realy worries me as i just bought the truck. Thansks guys!!

mine does the same thing but its a 4.0 some days ,extremely cold, it takes 5 times starting before it stays running unless i floor it on start up which isn't good at all but I've narrowed it down to fuel system like the filter or sending unit haven't had a chance to change had to take care of other problems like hubs and brakes going out.

my 94 b3000 does the sluggish thing to but like i only notice it when i have to get up to high speeds quick, like when i went to school i had to get on a highway right out of the parking lot an i dont kno how many times ive almost got creamed by a big rig cuz my truck cant get up to speed quick but it only did it for a min then went away for me.

I've also heard that the intake gaskets get pin holes in them and it will cause a sluggish take off and start up

Really?? does anyne know if this could actually the problem? in this case would i just replace the gaskets and all should be good?

If thats the problem, then replacing them should fix it. However, I'm not sure if thats the culprit

yeah i kno what u mean i am kinda wondering if it the MAF or possibly fuel filter because after it warms up it is fine.... anyone know if the MAF could be a possibility? or what a solution could be or anything else i could check?

Might be a temperature sensor that's a little off or could be a bad connection I guess.
