Hey, brand new to this forum, I've been a ranger enthusiest as long as I've been able to drive. I own an 89 ranger 4x4. Now to my question. I just bought most of a 6" lift kit. My question is would this lift kit work on a First gen ford explorer with the TTB?

it will work with 83 to 93 rangers,BII, and explorers i think it might be 94 some were around there,so your fine.good luck..

Remember that explorer axles are spring under though. I think most explorer guys just convert the rear to spring over and use the stock springs for about that much lift.

Question for you guys. I just swapped out the front & rear springs from a 1991 Explorer 4X4 4 door into my 1990 Bronco II 4X4. Everything worked great doing the change. My question is this. The engine is a 2.9 V6 that runs strong coupled to a 1991 Explorer newly rebuilt tranny. The center of the wheel wells are 32" off the ground front & rear using the Explorer springs only. Can I out 31X10.5X15" tires on the Bronco II without using a lift kit? Will I have proper clearance & are these size tires too much for the A4LD 4X4 transmission to handle. Keep in mind I only use the Bronco II right now for normal everyday driving around town & out on the open road.

My plans are to install a new rebuilt 4.0 V6 with the Mazda 5 speed later this summer when I get the money together. I just don't want to burn the A4LD up until I can do the swap. Any help would be appreciated.
