pretty nice 89 Ranger GT

The wheels and tires are ugly

Wouldn't want a red velour interior

The GT package may be rare but it was a joke anyway

Wouldn't want a white vehicle

If it runs good the price isn't bad for any old ranger but calling a ranger GT is like labeling an escort a GT. I'd rather have a good condition 4.0/5SPD/2WD ranger that'll outrun it like it's sitting still.

if it was the 2.9 with the 5spd 2wd then id actually call it a gt, personally the auto paired with the 2.9 in a 2wd ranger wasnt what it coulda been, but either way, the bodys stright, i dont mind the wheels, id say go for it

LOL, I hear you on the red interior, unfortunately mine has this same interior, but I have a red truck. I can deal with the white, I think it looks pretty decent from the outside.

Wouldn't mind having a clean Escort GT either. I rarely see them around here, but they're usually swiss cheesed.

makes u wonder if hes ever driven a escort gt lol, beleive it or not they are REALLY quick little cars, and can handle really well aswell, my friends with me drivin would keep with my buddys stock 85 gt mustang lol....till top end of 3rd anyways

whats that supposed to mean? the escort GT had 20 HP AND 20ft-lbs on the standard 'scort...plus it had suspension and tire upgrades. the ranger GT is just a ranger with plastic stuff hanging off of it...a poseur if you will.

You guys are so killing me here.....

Why don't you finish the look and put some neon under the car?

That hood scoop looks like it came off an '82 GT 5.0........

I would take the Ranger GT, they have a nice look to them. They are pretty much the same as a normal Ranger, but with a interesting twist.

Not to mention I bet they would get pretty good milage as well...

So it had a what, 20 lb/hp ratio overall? it would beat my 3.0 ranger, sure.

Incidentally, will it beat your almighty 3.0 ranger?

both cars had scoops on them when i got them. i'd remove them...but the red one has a glossy spot in the paint under its scoop, and the blue one has 4 big holes drilled through the hood under its scoop...so they remain :icon_rofl:.

i dont think the GT body kits look that bad...they are much less gawdy then anything available in the aftermarket....and at least the escort gt had some bite to back up the bark.

almost, the escorts pull the ranger hard out of the hole due to their low final gear and smaller tires, then the 3.0 just cant pull out on the big end.

I'm not much into street trucks but I kinda like the way it looks. Tires and Wheels don't look any worse than any other stock ranger/B2 wheels for those years, same ones I have on my B2..My B2 is white with red interior, doesn't bother me, in fact my old Zephyr wagon was white with red interior. The ground effects might even improve mileage and 2k isn't bad for any Ranger that clean...if it runs as good as it looks...
