Pretty cool find

move the decimal over one and it might be worth while...

sorry yall i thaught it was pretty cool.... the price is just outrages

They are cool to see when they show up, but everyone things that they have something super valuable and they just don't.

If I found a running, driving one for under $500 you can bet that the body would get cannibalized and the power train would land in my B2.

I've heard first hand experience that those things are gutless (rated at like 60hp if I remember right), cool yes, but hard to find parts for and not worth THAT much

while it was no hot-rod,i didn't find mine too gutless.i was running 33'' tires with 3.5 gears and it did quite well, nearly unstoppable on the trails plus it's fuel use was amasingly miserly.

my main complaint was that it had a habit of tearing clutch discs apart.

My grandpa had an 83, same color as the one in the ad. It never was super powerful, but it would pull a camper trailer just fine, and he bought it new in 83, put almost 200k miles on it before he sold it in the early 2000's. by then the gas tank was rusted out around the middle seam, and the brakes where shot/ rusted and other age and rust issues. He sold it for 350 bucks. it still ran great, but was starting to look pretty rough.

the only major cost that he put into it was replacing the glow plugs in the mid 90's. other than that, regular maintenance.

To me the engine would mean as much to me as the current price of scrap iron, the stacks would be nice for tractors (stupid even on a diesel pickup IMO)... that bed if it is a nice as it looks would be darn near priceless though.

his would have been the 2.2 n/a diesel.strong motor, but much less power than the 2.3td.

having said that,i must admit to never having driven the 2.2.

85 i gotta go with u on that i hate stacks unless done properly and for a cause such as full time river crossings and such, i use to like them but now i see them on every city boy's lifted diesel that his parents bought him.

You think a guy would change out his duct tape before snapping some pics.......

Sent from a Commodore 64 using a 300 baud modem

I'm kinda thinking about going to look at it... just b/c lol.
I'll be in that area one day next week anyways
