I am about to go junkyard digging to find a new 4.10 axle to replace the pos 3.45 I have at the moment. I have a 1990. I understand that the 93+ axles are a little longer. Will the spring perches and shock mounts be in the correct place for my 90?

Thanks

i have not had a problem with any axle...though the b2 is a bit different...they did always bolt up to get me by.

even the sploders bolt up with the right bits.

The 1993 axle assembly has the same spring and shock mount spacing as the earlier axles.

What is different is that the axle tubes and shafts are 1" longer on each side
(2" wider overall)

Wider trackwidth helps both stability and cornering.

Are there any other changes I should keep my eye out for? Like different drive shaft flanges and the like?

Pinion flange diameter changed I think in mid-1990 (later has a 3" spacing between the driveshaft bolts, earlier is 2.5")

Measured bolt center to center, I have 3", so any ranger with a 3" flange will work correct?
