I have a drum brake axle from a pre 2010 ranger with the horizontal backing plate mounting flange that I want to put in my 2011 disk brake ranger.
The problem is the 2011 ranger axle backing plate flange is vertical not horizontal so I cant just bolt the disk brake setup to the pre 2010 axle.
Is there an easy way around this that I am missing?
Thanks in advance :-)

Sorry can't help, but have got to wonder...

Why swap if you are keeping the disc brakes?

I do know you probably don't want to swap the drum brakes into your truck. IIRC the disc brake trucks used a different wheel speed sensor setup for traction control, and it requires provisions that are only on the disc brake axles. Never had hands on one myself, so this is coming from memory of past discussions on the forum.

If we know what you're after, maybe someone can help you find another way to the end goal.
