looking to get more power i got a 99 ranger 3.0 anyone have any ideas on how to wake it up a little?

NOS, and then an engine swap.

I'd search underdrive pully, and home head porting.

Underdrive pulley is an absolute must IMO. If your truck is Flex Fuel, run a couple tanks of E85 through it. The E85 cleans the fuel system better than any off the shelf injector treatments from my experience. Shortly after I bought my truck, I ran a couple tanks of E85 through it and the truck ran a lot smoother and had more power when I switched back to gasoline.

awwwwwwwww come on guys....he's new....play nice
could someone attach that "more power for your 3.0" link from the tech libary for him.
i would do it but i dont know how...

Here is my plan
Underdrive pulleys (done and AMAZING!!!)
1.7 roller rockers
electric fan
JBA Headers (which they don't make anymore so if any one is looking to sell let me know)
catback exhaust
Also im trying to decide what i want to do about getting the air into the engine... Larger throttle body port and polish ect. Not sure what the plan is on getting the air in, but I have more time than money right now so ill figure it out.

........the throttle body on your ranger is molded into the upper intake...so delete that "larger throttle body" one....im not spitting in your face or anything.....just letting you know before you buy something u dont need...but yeah everything else sounds legit

Thats why im getting the newer style intake from the 02+ ranger or 01+ Taurus. It comes with the removable style of throttle body and several people have adapted it to work.

1.7 roller rockers Good Idea
electric fan Waste of money, actually uses more energy than a mech fan
JBA Headers (which they don't make anymore so if any one is looking to sell let me know) As long as you don't look for a giant hp increase
catback exhaust again, this is more for the sound than anything

Not sure what the plan is on getting the air in, but I have more time than money right now so ill figure it out. adding a larger TB won't do anything... the one you have flows more than enough air...

Everything you plan on doing there MIGHT net you 5hp, if you are really lucky you might get 10hp... If you really want more power you have to open up the engine and increase it's ability to flow air... A good head job, and a more aggressive cam would be the first step... If you really want to go all out, putting some lower compression forged internals, a little headwork and slap a turbo on it... I promise you'll be happy...
