Question in regards to the intake side of the 2.3L Lima...has any one done intake work (port and polish, specifically)? I am thinking about starting this next week and i'm just wondering what it ensues. What kind of tools am I gonna need to keep around and how hard is it? I have done quite a bit on my truck mechanically and I have a few buddies that are helpful in the automotive side of things if i get stumped, but I'm just wondering what i might be up against..

i have an intake setup to the throttle body but thats it for the intake - i have a Flowmaster coming tomorrow and doing the 2.5" custom exhaust before the end of the month (its gonna dump before the tire; sooo pumped ) and would like to free up the intake side of things more. Thinking before wasting money on a throttle body that maybe I'll play around with the intake manifold itself to see what happens.

My lower intake has been worked over. The upper is going to be replaced with a custom unit, some day LOL. The upper design is a little on the weak side since it doesn't center the TB between the four runners and then the turn that it has to make to get to cyl 1 and 2 is less than ideal. If yoiu really want to see a difference have the head P&P. That will make a difference you can feel.
