My neighbor has a 99 Mercury Mountaineer and the power windows have a mind of their own. Sometimes they will roll up when you hit the button and sometimes they won't. It does it to all doors no matter which button you push, If one doesn't work than none of them work. I have torn all the doors down and checked the switches and the motors and they all seem fine. I have checked the fuses and they seem fine too. Is there a relay or something that I am missing. Please let me know if any one else has any ideas. thanks

hi, i've had a similar problem in my '85 b2.it was in the wire between the door and A-post.the wire had broke inside the insulation.i had a b---- of a time figuring this out.hope i helped.

I was really hoping that it wouldn't be the wiring, but eventually I might just have to face the facts
