Right now I have manual windows and locks, and I HATE having to roll up windows, and reach across the cab to unlock a door for my passenger.

How hard is it to install power windows and locks?
What will I need?
And how much will I expect to spend?

The truck this would happen to is the one in my sig & avatar.

Wouldn't it be easier (cheaper) to go to a junkyard and pull a actuator and wires from a car.. and then buy the keyless entry separate?

is it just me or does that site look kind of sketchy? I would like to get the power window and power lock kits....has anyone else dealed with this guy? I mean theres no phone number or anything

I started to think that too. But apparently the guy that posted the link bought from them, so I guess it's all good.

The same exact kits are on Ebay.

I think the pics ar eeven the same.

wish your truck were cayman green, id swap you complete door assys. my pass window has been in the "up" postion for the last 2 years. someday im just going to convert it to manual windows. the taurus is having driver's door window issues now too. ive never cared for power windows, somewhere down the road the're bound to give up. i knew my truck window was going to fail when one day it was slower than normal going down and maing a different sound. rolled it back up and that was the last its moved since. being 15 years old doesnt help matters. im not sure if i need complete doors or if i can just change out window hardware and interior panels. finding good complete doors in the rust belt could be a challange, let alone getting the "right" color.

You might start with lubing the tracks up.

Manual windows have problems too, as will anything that has moving parts.

Someone stole the window handles off my cousins truck while he was parked at work. They broke his window, opened the door, left the 200 dollar head unit and the expensive amp/subs as well as $250 in a bank envelope in the glovebox, but stole his window handles.

:icon_confused:

Now he keep a pair of vice grips on the little nub. He could replace them for almost nothing, but he says why fix something that isn't broke.
