Hello everyone, unfortunately my 89 Bronco 2 was totaled about a week ago so now I'm taking all my new parts off of it to put on my 95 Ranger. I have some questions about a couple of parts. So now I know the steering gearbox will interchange, but what about the power steering pump? Other than the pulleys what else is different between the two? And can I pull my heater box off the firewall on my 89 to use on my 95?

And then the other topic, what all can be deleted off of the 95 4.0 and it still run well? I know the EGR is one system that can be deleted. And also the ABS box. I'm used to riding without ABS so that is really not a big deal to me.

Thanks to anyone who responds for your time and stay blessed.

Pump is showing up as a different part number. Pictures look the same, so I don't know what is different.

It's going to be a lot of headache to get rid of the ABS system, some plumbing and a lot of wires. It's not hurting anything just to leave it on there. If it quits working your brakes will still work like the old school system.

EGR if it's working is not hurting anything either. If you disable it, the computer will set the timing back a little bit and the check engine light will come on.

I was running into the same thing with the pump. They look the same but the numbers says different. I was hoping someone on here might have tried to do it or has done it.

The ABS has already quit on me. I have the fuse pulled bc it sent me into a ditch on day🤦‍♂️not fun. I was just wanting to make more room under the hood. Lol, I was use to my 89 B2 and all the room I made under that hood.
