Hey folks!

Twice now the power steering pump on my ‘95 has sprayed PS fluid all over the underside of the hood. This only happens when the truck is turned off and I turn the steering wheel to one side or the other.

The cap on the PS pump seems snug so I don’t think that’s the problem.

Perhaps I need to bleed it or possibly some place I should investigate for a clog?

The pump whines but that’s not really abnormal as I understand it. Truck also pulls right but I haven’t had it aligned.

Would be grateful for any wisdom!

AFAIK there isn't a fix. It's just a Ford thing. You can make it significantly better by keeping the fluid level Just under the cold line on the dipstick.

This is normal. You are not supposed to turn the wheel without the engine running.

Perfectly normal.
