Power Steering Pump Question

I've recently wrecked a "94 Areostar AWD for the engine and transmission.

It has a quiet power steering pump that I want to install on my 4.0L '92 Ranger.

My question is are the pumps the same?

Its the same pump as on your ranger.

EXCEPT for the valve assembly that screws into the side of the pump and the spring and plunger behind it.... THOSE are different for the rack and pinion steering box used in the Aerostar, Vs the conventional steering box in the explorer.

the Steering box operates at a higher pressure.

But the basic pump and housing is the same.
