just picked up a 99 4x4 and had to change out the brake lines because of rust issues. the next step is power steering lines. how critical you guys think the power steering lines are to rplace. i went ahead with the brake lines for obvious safety issues. i am willing to put a little bit of dough into the truck because i got such a killer deal on it. any suggestions?

if its the same setup as my '96 theres just 2 lines and theyre like $10-15 each. Just o to your local auto parts store and get them, mine had both in stock. If theyre not leaking yet but just rusted id say leave it for now, mine leaked for a while and i just had to keep topping off the fluid until i got a chance to fix it.

If they aren't leaking, let them be. Mine are leaking and I can't afford new ones. You could always buy a set and just send them to me.

i'll be sure to send them your way who needs extra parts and money laying around anyway.

Yeah, turns out the price went down by a lot from the last time I looked. I can afford new lines now.
