power loss when warmed up.

good idea on the tfi.

I was just curious to see if the cat was clogging up when it was warmed up. but now i think i'll just hit the junkyards and get my tfi module moved up to the front. thanks for the info.

my bummer....

:bawling:went ahead and did the tfi remote location mod, and no change.. now i'm really wondering if its my catalytic converter!!

I have the same exact problem.. i replaced coolant temp semsor and 02 and nothing ..... i have bad valve train noise at start up and operating temp ( sometimes) it has its days and when i want to pull a hill forget it falls on its face and wont move out of its own way...im in the same boat as rangermilitia

Check your fuel pressure when your rig is cold, leave the gauge on and let it run for a while watch for a slow pressure drop.I have had fuel pumps that will only make presure until they get warm

ghost catalytic converter.

pulled the catalytic converter and come to find out, clogged to shit. cleared it out put it on, and runs better... not fixed but i'm on my way.:headbang:

Damn militia we are on the same page .... i cleaned out my cat and yes it was on its way to being plugged up and it runs a lil better plus with the second cat cut off and glasspack in its place sounds awesome ... but back to the problem a ford garage told me today to run my truck with the egr valve unhooked.. ok thats what im going to do IF i can find the damn thing ive looked all over did they hide it under something ?

egr

egr is located right under where the throttle linkage hooks up to the upper intake. you will see a metal tube going to the driver side exhaust manifold to the egr. looks like a vaccuum diaphram with a vacuum hose connected to it
