Power Issues Still HELP!

I need new terminals, the things are shot, and I "want" to get a new positive terminal and wire to, if you go to my build thread, you can see images of my battery poles.

The negative gets a greta connection BTW

that cable looks split and GREEN inside.. told you

Yea, that cable is definitely junk, doesn't matter how tight the terminal is, there's so much corrosion on the cable itself nothing can pass through.

oh and by the way that battery looks like crap too.. i doubt it would pass a load test.

Something I have ran into is corrosion IN the cable. You skin back a bit of insulation and the copper wire instead of being bright & clean is all green.
Just throwing this out.

Good- Luck

spend $6 and at autozone you can get good quality set of quick release terminals, and $4 on a cable.... problem solved... you cant fix something that needs a new part, without a new part.

and when you are changing them, make sure you clean off around where they hook up. block/frame/body for the grounds and starter/solenoid for the pos. cable. you can slow down the corrosion cheaply enough as even a thick coat of vaseline on the connections will protect them til you can afford one of the better commercial products. just a temporary fix, but it works. just my $.02.

fixed, dunno what happened, kept doin it till we finally got it to turn over, now it stopped happening =P

what bone yard? you mean the local parts dealers? yeah, NO, I can get new ones for less, and I just want ones that will work for now =P

Hell, I just want to start the damned thing

Bone yard = wrecking yard/pick a part you cant get any cheaper. I had a bad battery terminal even with new wires in a short time would lose power after beating my head on the curb and about 30 jumps I invested in a new battery and cables problem solved. You can try starting it at nite and see if you can see the arcing but usually if you watch it close the bad connection will smoke a little and get warm. The fast clicking is a low battery and loss of power is usually a bad connection. If the battery terminal gets pitted black or too small you will never make it work right and vise grips/clamp are just a way to get you home or the part store dont depend on it.

I agree with Brutus & Zack, Get your battery checked out with a load test, replace all those green, corroded cables and clean up the grounds all around. Use the local junk yard, parts store and whatever because with what you have now you are going to get stuck at the side of the road whever and no hope but the cell phone and hopefully you are not in a dead spot!

I believe if you do not have the time to fix it right the first time WHERE do you find the time to do it over?

It works now, the battery terminal was the issue, it was VERY dirty, the wires are surprisingly still good 0_0

but the problem wont repeat now, I guess it just needed repeated OVER AND OVER AND OVER to work =P.

Now it works fine!
