just wanted to share and expose the newer folks to some do's and dont's of the trail.all too often we get into the "arms race" of building rigs and dont welcome and educate the new folks joining the ranks.
too often the FS "manages" the public lands by just closing them FOREVER.you guys back east know what i mean,not a lot of public lands to 4 wheel on,at least like we have out west.
trail abuse,filthy bums who leave trash all over and people who just because they dont know better are really giving the off road community a huge black eye.if you see your friends driving off trail(dirtbikes,atv's and 4x4's) set them right--or we all will be 'wheeling at the mall.
get pics of the license plates and driver and send to the local police/or the local FS ranger.these are our trails to save and care for,or lose forever.

i see fair share of teens out and about,and i am sure most(by how they act and drive out in the wild LOL) dont know a lot of the rules and why and why nots.
if we can engage and each of us lessen or stop just one off trail meadow from being made a mud bog,or another trail closed--i am all for this post

True. Off-roading is not the same as off-trail riding. When I go off-roading, all 4 & 2 stay on the trail.

So parts are never found on the trail. What could you ever mean. I found these 33" KO's just laying there.

And no need to look for my lost screw driver, I found it stuck in my spare tire.

I live near Buffalo, NY and most of the land within 100 miles of me is OFF LIMITS to trucks. Why? You already mentioned it in the opening post of this thread. I think education and understanding is key. It is not enough to know the rules, you need to know why they are important.
