Did someone mention overkill? This is my previous Ranger on a towbar behind the Pete.

The Detroit Diesel pulled pretty good, hardly noticed the little bugger back there.

I have a '87 Dodge W150 myself that I use to drop off my Ranger at the shop for extended repairs. Not a whole lot to look at tho... If I lived in SoCal, Id ditch it and just use my '64 P'Wagon all year long.

I believe the '69 440 Magnum would be up for the task (Not like the Detroiter tho).

I built the '64 about 15 years ago and have drove it very little since. Its on the '78 chassis of a truck I bought in '79. I had eventually built it up with the 440, 4:10 posi's, 33" tires and a small lift. Then the body decided to rust off. I had gotten another more stock truck ('87) in the meantime and decided to redo the '78 with a rustfree '64 body I found in Arkansas (a 6cyl 2wd truck). The frame was sandblasted and painted then the body fitted quite easily (comparitively). The restoration of the '64 was then done. I have only one more digital pic (after recently upgrading to 35's) but I could scan some of the old photos if you want.

I wish I had this whole setup sitting in my driveway.

Imagine the looks on peoples faces if you showed up at some place like Attica and said you were there for the trail ride.

That needs an over-size load permit.

hell yeah! those monster trucks are almost too much weight for a 1 ton pickup though, aint they? still looks pretty cool.

Getting going wouldn't be a problem Now stopping on the other hand...............
