Last week I took my IAC off and cleaned it and it started running horrible. One of the first things I did to the truck was change the spark plugs. The same day I cleaned the IAC I put a dist cap, rotor and plug wires on it. It ran fine then I cleaned the IAC and it ran like poo! A couple weeks after I changed the spark plugs I found out the thermostat was stuck open which is very hard on the plugs. I changed the plugs Tuesday and they were black and wet with gas and the oil was also full of gas. When I sprayed out the IAC ports with carb cleaner I pushed the plugs over the edge and killed em deader than a doornail(s) Today I noticed interference through the FM radio, the rotor I put in was bad so I replaced it with the old one and fixed that problem. Sadly I probably also killed the new O2 sensor I just put in before the plugs fouled. I still need to set the timing with a light but its running MUCH better, although it's still running a little rich at idle. I want to get a volt meter soon so I can read the codes and not throw parts at it trying to fix it.
