Copykats' has D44 outers on it which have the TRE on the bottom where as D28's and D35's with stock outers (Junkie) have the TREs on top.

well....i thought part of the 44 knuckle swap was doing the work so the TRE's would still mount on top, if his was mounted on top it looks like all of his angles would be perfect then...

The D44 does put the TRE on the bottom, stock. I redrilled the taper from above on my Ranger's D44.


Yeah, the centerlink is hardly matched up on that thing either although with stiff junk TTB coils, it still drives decent (and is definitely better than the stock linkage on a standard drop arm).


Thighman, it looks like you have more like 2" between the CL and the pivots. Dropping it down would definitely bring some benefit, although at the same time, you might also think about boosting the height up some too (looks like you're too low for those brackets).

Joel, yours looks a bit low also (the pivot bolts ideally should sit an inch higher than the hub centerline).

But that is what I was trying to mention earlier. I was wondering what stock was like and I have never heard of 1" higher than the centerline but that is a good rule of thumb.

So with that said it looks like I would need 1.5 - 2" spacers cause right now I have 3/4" inch in there

Joel, yours looks a bit low also (the pivot bolts ideally should sit an inch higher than the hub centerline).

I'll likely just make new 2" lift brackets. I'll add a D44 full width pivot to them in that case, just so that it's there, for when I find a D44 4.10 pig.

So your ranger links look no different than mine. I'm going to lower the center link block 2" and see where that gets me.

Having the D35 beam pivots exactly 1" above the hub centerline allows you to use 0° camber bushings (only if you needed to adjust caster would you need an offset bushing in this case).
