Poor advertisements...

Absolutely love this site and try to keep it pulled up throughout the days at work when I can but advertisements like this is going to get it black listed for me from IT if they keep showing up, is there anything that can be done...?

I don't see the "supporting member" badge in your profile. I think it's still only about $10 per year. I don't get ads at all when I'm logged in.

I'm also sure that if Jim has any control of that content, he wouldn't allow that type of ad.

I thought the ads were generated on a per user basis based on the individual users browser history?

But if you don't want to see any ads... a yearly Supporting Member subscription removes all ads.

Ads are most assuredly received based on browsing history. You don't necessarily have to be looking at p*rn, just something close-- and maybe someone else is fogging up your history. Use a Private Window, that will cut down on the chances of receiving ads you don't want to see.

Or, as Uncle and Ericb suggest, make a small donation. It's well worth it just for the available expertise - not to mention the entertainment

Will most definitely do the supporting member suggestion, someone lead me in the right direction please? And that's odd no way in hell there has been anything on this computer contributing to that sort of thing lol this computer is locked up tighter than a chastity belt Secure internet blocker Forticlient with 2 factor login (Which is confirmed on a phone w/ 2 factor log in) on and all websites have to be approved.. Usually I just get Dodge Ram ads, and I personally am more offended by those LOL but if the supporting member removes ads, by all means!

It could also be that somehow some spam advertising found it's way in... we fight that stuff multiple times a day.

Well I had to go outside and turn Wi-Fi off to get the Supporting Member agreement made, blocked PayPal lol. Looks like I am now buying Ruby Tuesdays for lunch as they had to get 1 more in before I went ad free... Haven't been there in years but hey, now I am thinking about it... damnit

FYI... it does take a bit to get it activated.

There has also been a glitch with email notification to @Jim Oaks about new or renewing memberships.

He should now be notified you have made the purchase and I'm sure he will turn this around quickly.
