I hit a tree once too. an 83 F150. Hit right on the passenger frame rail at about 15. No dents, so i didn't have to explain to any body. I seem to get very lucky at time. Good thing I dont believe in karma.

Back in 87 I hit a guard rail and it took a year but the state billed me. I thought the amount was low so I asked for them to look at it again. They reduced the bill. My insurance company paid after I got my agent involved.

Stihl has no equivalent of this saw, ms46 too small ms660 too big.

Three phase is not much different than single phase, just an extra wire basically, most feed lines are 3 phase to my knowledge, its just what they feed to what thats the diffenece.

I would say that truck is screwed, sad to say, being both airbags deploying, and that much front damage, they will probably total the truck. I would be suprised if there is not something engine bound that is not smashed, bent, or broken. Something along the lines of a bracket or two, maybe a few bent pullies. more than enough reasons for them to total the truck out.

BTW is that pass side door back a bit far, looks almost like there is a bit of disfiguring around the handle area of the door and body, or is that just a reflection?

If the doors alignment, or gapping is screwed the damage is carried into the frame and cab, its a gone.

no , the best are old , blue , and weigh a s**t ton , we have a homelite that was built in the 70's , it will outperform any new saw , i know because we put it up against a buddies and kicked his stihl's arse

When it comes to saws let's see you up a tree with you 385 and I'll be up one with my 044. I've done it with my 066 also. Also my saw is like my truck, not stock .

i thought the same, if the fame is bent it is for shure a total loss. try to buy it back and make it into something gnarly

After seeing those pics. I would have to say its 95% totaled. It would cost too much to repair than the insurance will pay for it. And that is a deep impact. Sorry dude.
