This week I’ll be swinging by and collecting the hood and some lights from a seller parting out a ‘84 Bronco II. It’s for my 89 Ranger that I’m converting the nose from 2nd gen to 1st gen. Already have the fenders and bumper and grill.

But while I’m at it, are there any other parts I should consider to be an upgrade for the 89 Ranger?

Is the throttle body larger diameter on 84 B2? Ranger is V6 2.9, does the B2 engine need to be the 2.9L for this to be compatible?

The 84 will be carb. I think you will need the rad support from the 84 so all the front grill and light buckets will work together. I took apart the front on an 87? and drilled out all the spotwelds at the cab behind the door. It was something like 30 spots per side. Same thing could be done at the rad support to inner fender.
