I bought a tachometer and it is made to hook up to a distributer. it says it can be hooked up to electronic ignition but doesnt say how. i tryed hooking it up but was getting inaccurate reading do to wastes spark on coil pack. So i need to know what wire i can hook up to the tach. I need to know if it is under the dash or under the hood and what color the wire is. The wire on the tach is green if that matters. Please give very detailed instructions. And my service manual doesnt tell me. I have a 1990 ranger 2.3L 4 cylinder, 8 spark plugs, manual 5 speed, 2wd, standard cab, DIS ignition system.
