my dad got my trucks timing all straitened out and i went to drive it home from the shop and it ran awesome good power and everything, only thing was it idled a little high sometimes and i noticed if i revved it high while driving specially up a hill i heard like this buzzing coming from the engine almost like something rattling and i only heard it in the high rpms when nearly floored, and was half way home and all the sudden i notice it gets a tad bit louder and sorta has more deceleration pop when i let off the throttle, but still had decent power well about a couple hundred feet after that goin up a hill at about 3500 it just shut down instantly, and wont start back up, when i start it it kinda jumps around a good bit and fires for a quick seccond every once in a while it seems then thats it,i think it jumped timing is my guess were gonna look at it, but my question is what causes is to jump timing? its a nearly brand new belt, i didnt replace the tensioner when i got the belt could this be the problem? the tensionor is maybe worn causing it to jump time? any help please im trying to join the military and need my truck running ok soon, thanks for any help.
