95 Ranger Rear end on a 88 Will it bolt rite up?
I blew my 88 Ranger rear today. It's a 4x4.
Therte is a 95 2 weell drive siting in the bushes near my house. Would that bolt rite up and should the gearing be about the same? I need an answer ASAP as I need to fix my truck asap to get me to and from work.
Please Thanks! Raymond

wel you need to worry about gearing if your truck is a 4x4....look in the tec pages to find out how to read your gear ratio...aslo the pinion flang where the drive shaft bolts on is bigger....you will need to re-dril and tap or change drive shafts or change flanges to fit your old shaft...and the spring perches i think have to be moved in a bit....at least that is what i remeber reading a wile back

That helps

That helps, You think I could use the enternal parts on my original rear?

Thing is I need to take the parts off ..... Like asap got to leave in 10 minuts. Just gota find out if I'm going to be waisting my time. On my rear end I think I broke a side gear or pin or somthing :-)

you can take the gears from the 93 or 4 and put them in yours...and plus it might have bigger brakes than yours...that is a plus side

Sounds good I'll go and take a look as to what this truck has. Thanks
