I'm building a ranger that I'm Gonna use to wheel an play but I know of no we're to go an this well not be a road queen or trailer queen

Check out Wellsville Ohio I been there often and its literally a stones throw over the Ohio river off of rt 7 not sure where parkersburg is worst case scenario pack a tool kit and a spare quart of everything ha ha

theres some stuff around, i worked with guys from ravenswood and marietta and they were always fawking their trucks up. theres some places i used to go near wheeling. but its all gone now from pipeline and subdivision construction.

it was hard to believe a mountain could be modified so much in such a short period of time:shok:

i have not been to wellsville in quite some time....but you dont go there alone unless your very talented and have one bad ass rig.

I had a lot of fun at Wellsville. On one occasion, with 35" Hawgs on a B2 I solved mud holes. We were down in mud deeper than the windows and that thing would pull across the bottom and come up the other side. I tried to get it stuck and it wouldn't. It finally died somewhere up on top when the radiator popped. I drove it and coasted it back down in small bursts and got a tow back by an RRORC guy at the bottom, then by our own JohnnyO to the hotel.

I rolled that truck the year before on the pipeline at Wellsville. There was red fluid everywhere and I thought I had injured Sambo, who was riding with me, but it turned out that the manual transmission had leaked its Mercon out the top and into the cab.

Then I broke the front axle about 10 minutes after we got the truck back on its wheels and even with that little wheelbase and lockers, had to get help up a hill or two.

Yeah, it's a really fun place, but it will eat your truck. Only one run there did my truck make it the whole way. No, it made it the whole way two times.

I'll have to check it out once the new motor is in the ranger

look into HIGH COUNTRY OFFROAD Club they are in the parkersburg area.

off the top of my head there is bear run, and the ritchie mines that are somewhat near by.

Some stuff across the river near marietta ohio too

Farther south is Bear wallow of the hatfield mccoy. They now allow trucks/jeeps

As far as wellville, it is still alive and well. My group still runs it pretty often, usually on sundays

Wv has really picked up on "truck" trails recently. With the price of coal they are looking for more income and considering opening alot of places up to ride.

I know west banco is buying alot of old coal property and gas and oil property just for stuff like this but it's not set into stone that they well.
