just wondering if anyone knows for sure what pitman arms, if any, will fit a stock 93 ranger steering? i was under the impression that pretty much all the ford pitman arms are interchangeable between each on being able to fit the steering box?

i'm asking cuz i'm hoping i have enough money to do a full cross over high steer setup, and i know i can get a pitman arm reamed for the GM 1 ton tie rod, and am currently trying to decide between the t-style set up or not as the price differnce is pretty substantial, and i am currently in school, but i'm putting an EB d44 with chevy knuckles out(both flat tops of course:D) anyways, any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated, i haven't bought all the parts yet, but so far for the entire cross-over high steer is gonna cost me about 450 with all the tie rods, pitman arm, steer arms, knuckle machining, etc... just seeing if i would get any bump steer real bad or not if i didn't modify the steering yet, but i really need to pull the pitman arm off i have right now as its the skyjacker extreme drop one. just wondering what you guys have done with pitman arms?

i depends on how tall you intend the rig to be. bumpsteer will occur when the angle on the draglink from the knuckle to the pitman becomes to extreme, same with the track bar. you are going to want to get the angle of the draglink as close to zero (flat, level) as possible. and the track bar needs to be at that same exact angle to minimize bumpsteer. getting both the draglink and the track bar in the same plane is ideal too but its fairly difficult with the available mounting surfaces.

hey sry if i jack your thread, but i am planing on getting 6" springs right now i have the 4"kit and it has a dropped pitman arm but does anyone know if that will work with the 6" ive seen the 4"-6" drop arms but idk what kind i have in there now. so just wondering if they are all 4-6" or some are only for the 4. thanks. again sry beaujt :threadjacked::D
