Pitman arm


The pitman arm doesn't affect the camber like MAKG said, it would affect the toe.
 
Right, I don't expect it to effect camber, I have f 150 coils and washers. I haven't tried to align it yet, as it doesn't get driven much.
 
If you haven't dropped the axle pivots like you should, there is no geometry to correct. You need an alignment. Note that you may not be able to correct that camber problem at all.
 
Thats (one of) the reason(s) I haven't gotten it aligned. (The fact the it probably isn't alignable without drop brackets) I appreciate your input, but my steering is at a horrible angle, and if the pitman arm is used after a 4" lift, I think it will be necessary for my lift. But as always, feel free to enlighten me some more. Also by "there is no geometry to correct" do you mean that the steering angles will change when its aligned, thus making my current efforts useless?
 
In a nutshell, proper geometry is to have the end of the Pitman arm more or less right in front of the axle pivot bolt. You haven't changed this with your F150 coils. It's axle pivot drop brackets that screw that up.
 
I was barely able to align mine with only F-150 coils, and no drop brackets. Good luck getting it aligned with 150 coils and washers.
