ok, im trying to finish up my new suspension and I really need a drop pitman arm..the only thing is that i dont have power steering and i dont want to put it in..not really because its hard to do or expensive or anything, but i like the feedback i get off-road alot better ...does anybody know where I can find a pitman arm that will work?? Nobody seems to make one for non-powersteering.

Thanks

Well, since all the Ford trucks of that era used the same steering box, I'd suggest measuring how much drop you need, then try to match that with an arm off another series truck, something like an F250 4wd, Econoline van, etc.

Depending on your AP store's stock, ask for 97 Ford F250, etc. and compare them. Junkyard might be helpful to match it up if the AP stores won't cooperate or have none in stock.

Rancho used to have one, not sure if they still do.

awesome thanks..found one..rough country had one

The manua steering box doesn't use the same spline as the common power steering box.

And NO F-series of the required vintage did either.
