I had been wanting to change my exhaust a little but my truck did it for me. Directly behind my cat, the pipe came off. So now, from there back, it's just hangin and swingin around and rattling. When i get over 50 mph, it SCREAMS. i dont want to leave it like this, but i dont want it to sound stock either. The budgets pretty tight, about $50. any suggestions?

i though about running a pipe out of the cat all the way back without a muffler. would that make it quieter in the cab? would a simple turndown pipe make it any more quiet for me?

thanks for any help

Cherry bomb is about all you can get with a budget of 50 dollars. IMHO, i hate the sound of cherry bombs on anything but 302's or bigger. i love the sound of my flwmaster 50, but that is like 89 dollars, so take your pick.

As far as I can tell ( i didn't have much time at all to look at it) the flange rusted so bad that the bolts broke through. I have no welder so the only way I could attach it myself is a bolt all the way through or one of those big "u" clamps. Im not sure theres enough lip on the cat to do either.

I had the same thing happen to me, I went to my local auto store, and got an adapter, and welded the adapter right onto the cat, and buy a length of pipe to put on it, pretty cheap to do to...bought roughly 25-25 bucks
