My credo
I need more sleep.
Today I got a Pioneer App Radio put in my truck, it replaced the stock radio of course and had to be modified a bit to fit. This radio is really good, it of course works just like a normal radio but with the touchscreen, you can also hook up your Apple or Android device and play music. The only problem I have is that you have to have a bunch of apps for it to work, and your phone has to stay on, but it is charging, I can put it in my console and just use the radio.

It's pretty easy to use, it sounds good, but for some reason is not using my sub woofer to it's potential.

Nice clean install. Did you get the one with or without CD/DVD player? I'm thinking about getting one for my Versa.

If you have a rooted Android device, you can get full mirroring on the AppRadio screen with full support for all phone apps. Google AppRadio Unchained.

No CD player, the old androids you had to root, now they can be just plugged in and it will mirror your screen but if you use the free apps it makes it a bit easier to use.

I must be missing something here but what is the advantage of being able to run apps, playing angry birds while driving might be slightly hazerdous. I just installed a new radio in my other vehicle that plays dvd's, cd's, mp3's and various other formats, it also connects with my phone and does a bunch of other stuff I've not found out about yet, and was cheap (relatively), please enlighten me.

I think it is trying to be an aftermarket Sync.

You get the navigation, bluetooth and whatnot without having to buy a new vehicle.

I use it for music, sometimes browsing the web. That kind of stuff, it's nice to have a big touch screen instead of trying to fiddle with the phone. And sometimes when your sitting around you can play videos and fun stuff like that. Plus is was free so I'm not complaining.

Aahh! when the price is right you don't need justification, I'll shut up now.

So I had to pick up another harness because the radio one doesn't have a connector for the subwoofer, but I picked it up and got it all working.

How is the glare when driving during the day? From that photo it looks like it might be unbearable.

Its only occasional it glares, and isn't really a problem.
