i'm looking to do the complete DJM 4/5 drop on my 2000. it comes with upper/lower control arms, springs, rear flip kit, and shocks all around. i was wondering about pinion angle. am i going to have to make any adjustments to that after the drop? and if i do, what is involved in the process? i really don't know much about this subject so bear with me...any ideas?

If you shorten the rear shackles to do the drop, your pinion angle will decrease a bit, but should still be fine.

Worst case scenario you buy some shims to correct it.

the flip kit should fix it itself. they are designed to set it up properly and just bolt on. I used chassis tech front hangers and flipped the shakles to get a 5 inch drop and dont have any pinion issues. flip kit is even easier than the way i went. only reason to worry is if you get an odd vibe after the flip is installed.

I can't really add anything to this, but I do second what RatRanger and Evan said. I noticed that I had LESS vibrations once I flipped my axle. I also changed my tranny mount, but I'm still positive I have less vibrations though.

So, it could get better for you, who knows.

nice. that was one issue i was concerned about so i'm glad to hear it won't be an issue!
