pinging noise

I have a 94 with man. trans and every time i start off in 1st or rev it makes 2 or 3 pinging noises. It sounds like its coming from the trans or clutch area. I did a one piece drive shaft swap last year and it seemed to make the noise a little worse. It almost sounds like a u joint going out but all that stuff is new. And i pulled the trans out and put a center force clutch in about a year after the noise started and its no different. Its been doing it for 2 tears now with no problems just wondering where its comig from

I had the same thing happen to me. it got worse and would clang every time i hit the gas or let off. it was the front driveshaft bolts on mine. so judging from the fact that you changed yours, i would check them. they have a knack for working loose
