Pin stripe removal

I just removed the stick on factory pin stripe...now the sticky stuff is stuck to the paint and will not come off!! the only thing i have tried (i did it in a small spot) that works is gasoline and it works GREAT....but im not about to rub gas all ove the truck...anyone know anything that will get this stuff off with out any major elbow grease?

You can buy a sticker removal fluid for vehicle bodies. What I found works just as well is lighter fluid. The lighter fluid is a whole lot cheaper and essentially the same stuff. Took off the glue from a bumper sticker that had been on my truck for 3 years.

I just pulled the pinstripe off of my 1992 yesterday, i tried the bug and tar remover, but what i noticed worked incredibly well was Brake/Parts Clean spray. I was weary about it at first, but i was washing the truck right after so i wasnt too worried. The bug and tar however, the sun baked it into the truck, so i had to find something else to work, hence, the brake clean.

i work at a sign shop and do a lot of vinyl graphic removal and clean-up. the best sh*t in the world for this is called rapid remover. it's like a citrus scented goo gone type stuff but WAY stronger. the only problem is they don't sell it at stores. you might be able to find it online. the company that makes it is called rapid-tac, inc. and don't waste your money on goo gone. after using rapid remover i tried goo gone on something and it was like water in comparison.

My pin stripe is peeling off, does anyone know a good place to find new ones?

any place that makes signs or does vehicle lettering. hell, i could make em for you. where you at? i could ship anywhere. all the "pinstripe" is is a strip of vinyl. you could have any color you want too. if you want, give me the dimensions (i.e. how thick is the line, how long, is it a single or double line) and i can get you a price. better yet, if you got a pic, i can match it exactly.
