Getting ready to reinstall the flywheel and clutch but I do not see a pilot "bearing" in the end of the crank. It looks like just a "bushing". I didnt lose anything when the engine came out. Is this correct? 88 2.9 manual transmission.

Autozone shows both a bearing and a bushing. I supposed you have a choice. Unless it's very new I would replace it no matter what it is.

Just dug and read a little farther and found it.....in the flywheel. Thank you. Learn a little every day.

If it's out I'd replace it, they cost peanuts and you know what you'll have to do if it starts making noise later.
