Well, I just got done installing my rough country 4" lift in my truck. It came out really good. I ended up using some 63" leafs in the back with the lift blocks since they were wedged to help the pinion angle and I used my lift shackles to get all the lift. In the front I used the rough country stuff and some spacer blocks under the springs I had in there from before. Over all I got about 4" of lift on top of my 2" body. I already had the spacers under the front springs and I already had the shackles in the back, so really I am up close to 6" of lift. I am almost thinking it is too tall because it makes my 33's look small. Might take out the shackles and the spacers, but i will see. I ended up making a extension for my rear brake line bracket on the frame to get enough slack(see picture) and in the front I used some new longer rubber hoses, relocated to the rear of the shock to get me just a little more(you can see that in the pictures also) Well, here are the pictures.

OK, that all, now I am going to to see if I can get some pictures of it flexing out....stay tuned!

Looks good man, Id run it with just the factory block in the rear just to get it down a little bit. It looks tough though, its time for some 35s :D What do you have for tires on it? They look very aggresive.

Very nice looking rig!! That looks like more than 6" of lift with 33's, I have 4" RC lift with a 3" PA body and 32's and I don't think I have near that wheel well clearance. Anyways great looking truck

Well, here is the break down of what I have

In the front:

4" lift coils
1.5" leveling spacers

In the rear:

63" Chevy leafs
7.5" shackles, gave me 1.5" to 2" of lift
Lift blocks, but they are the same as the stockers height(put them side by side)

Then I have a 2" body lift.

As far as the tires, they are 33"x12.5" Trailcutter MT's and I love them. New, mounted and balanced they cost me just a touch over $600. I am ready for some 35's, but I need to get my 4.56 gears in before I do that. I also need to rebuild my traction loc in the rear sometime soon. The truck is tall, but drives the same as it did before. Just now I have a drive shaft noise, so i will be on the look out for a 1 piece or I am going to drop my carrier bearing. Anyone know if there is an upgrade to the stock u joints in the rear shaft that I should run?

Well, here are a few pictures of my flex, no the best, but I am sure I can get more.

Before you go off any serious jumps, I would take a second look at your gas tank straps, they look a little rough.

On my '92, It's a good thing I'm going through the truck top to bottom, front to back in my V8 swap, because my straps were 75% rusted out. I snapped the straps with only a pair of small channellocks.

One good sized pot hole and I would have been looking at major trouble. Just my $.02.

Now for your truck.....................

Freakin Sweet lookin, man!!! :icon_thumby::icon_thumby: Nice articulation and clearance.:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

Thanks! The straps aren't too bad, but next time I have the box off, I will probably make a new set. We had to fab up a set for my buddies that were shot so i know what you mean.

With all the bad hype the RC kit gets, the kit fit perfectly, and everything was really beefy, very worth the $400 I gave for it. As far as the drop plate goes, it looks like they changes the design to give more clearance. I might add a bump stop just to be safe, but I don't think I will have any problems. Maybe I will get a picture later to see what you guys think.

looks great, and i second getting 4.88s.. i run 4.56s with 33s, and wish i had lower gears..

Thanks everybody! I finally feel like my truck is getting to where I have been wanting it...just a little more left to do......right, it'll never be done!

Do you like your traction lok? Im thinking about putting traction lok in my rear.

Yeah, I like it. I run one in my Mustang and it hasn't let me down yet...slicks at the track and it hold great. the one in my truck I think I got it off Ebay used for $50 shipped and I just bought a rebuild for it for $60 shipped. Great budget posi.

I don't know...I still DD this truck 60 miles a day. I guess when i go and buy them I will flip a coin. For the trails I have low range, so even with 4.56's and low, it still isn't enough? Mine is a 5 speed too, so that may help me.

i have 4 56s and i dont see a problem and i drive 100 or so miles a day.if you want a lower gear then down shift:D
