Pictures of my 97 XLT splash

Thanks Kid Crash.

I have been looking at aftermarket front valances for my Ranger for now I sanded the black plastic air dam under my valance smooth and painted it body color. I'm happy with the new look. I replaced a few pictures I have at the top of this thread with the new pictures of my air dam painted. I have been looking at a Xenon air dam and just order one for my Ranger.

I've got my new seat upholstery installed. It was very easy to install and gives my interior a fresh new look. I posted some new interior pictures on page one of this thread to keep most of my pictures together.

thanks

thanks for the repost. your ride aint bad looking also. I like your interior. nice and neutral. i can't stand my interior. its a dark blue. when I open my doors it seems like a cowboys super fan. I wish I change my dash, and door panels, to a more neutral color like a black, grey. or tan. and change my carpet to some flush mats like the work trucks have the plastic floors really shine when ever you spray armourall. but that's another project.

^Don't hate the blue...just embrace it. No one makes blue interiors anymore. I have two blue on blue trucks, and at first.. I admit I was planning on swapping to gray or charcoal, but now that I have noticed that not to many clean blue interiors exist..I love it.

I just installed a new Xenon front air dam and LED day time running lamps on my Ranger. I posted the new pictures at the top of page one of this thread.

I didn't like the look of the stock shifter boot and knob in my Ranger. I was thinking about a Hurst shifter. Then I read about the problems with the Hurst shifter rattling and causing trans leaks. So I went with a UPRproducts shifter knob. It's very nice and held tight on the Rangers shift lever with two set screws that are covered by the top screw on aluminum bezel. The knob has the correct shift pattern and only costs $29.99. UPRproducts also has other nice Ranger interior upgrade parts. http://www.uprproducts.com/ford-ranger-interior.html My latest change is the new shifter boot that I bought on ebay for only $23.00 ,
I'm happy with the look, fit and cost of the boot

I have also added some extra foam to the seats in my Ranger in the lumbar area to give the seats a better look and feel. I have posted the new pictures on page one of this thread.

I have added a bike mount to my tool box so I can take my bike to other areas to ride new trails. The next thing I will do to my Ranger is install new seat upholstery, I'm just waiting on more fabric samples. The first samples I received I was happy with the colors.

I want tan in place of the gray and black in place of the red. The company said they will do custom color combinations.

So are you lowered in this pic or front leveling kit?

I installed the lowering shackles that same day I painted the outside door handles body color, so that pictures is with the lowering shackles. When I first installed the shackles I didn't think it lowered the truck enough it the back . Now the I've had more time to look at it I'm glad I didn't go any lower. Because of the lines in the truck I like slightly in the back look.

Awesome! I may run the shackles on my 94 B4000. Did you have to run a shock for a drop my or factory wrk?

Man she's clean. Great work. Classic.

I have made a few changes to my Ranger. I installed a new cylinder head, oil and water pumps. I have also changed the 97 wheel center caps to the 98+ wheel center caps because I like the look of them better. And had a 2.3 emblem on the tailgate the was a Fox body Mustang emblem. The chrome finish on the plastic was starting to fail so I replaced it with a smaller chrome metal 2.3L emblem. The new pictures are on page on of this post. The first picture shows my Ranger with it's new center caps. The last picture on page one is of my new 2.3L tailgate emblem.

I pulled the engine out of my Ranger and rebuilt it because a chatter noise at idle. It only had 132K miles on it. I did some cleaning, painting and detailing while I had it apart.
