Picture request: Let me see your 38's...

38" hawgs will fit fine on the truck with 9" of lift, 38" hawgs ALWAYS measure small

I wish I knew that for a fact......but still might try it....

Here's some pics when I was runnin' 38" TSL's. Doesn't rub in front because of the prerunner fenders, had to trim a little in the rear.

how wide is your rims and how wide are the 38's???thanks.

yea I know, thats why I said that's what I wanted to see.....the older trucks almost always can handle 1 size larger tire...thanks.

um, no. The newer trucks have much larger wheel wells, like was said earlier in the post.

well, i wasnt gonna start the argument......thats why my photo for him was the most relavant......

this is the only pic u really need....idk any other ranger on this site or many others sittin on 38's with no fender trimming other then mine(1st gen and 2nd gen anyways)

oh....and i do really hope u plan on a solid axle up front, the TTB will not handle a tire of that size, especially if u wanna run the 38" hawgs(heavy bastards)

Well idk as far as measurements are concerned but I own an 89 that at one point I had 32's on it with a body lift and no scrubbing whatsoever and I had a 99 ranger with the same setup and hit like heck....both were extended cabs....

These are 35's, **True** 7.5" lift. Fully flexed out I had no tire rub at all. Not one bit of trim and those are the Bushwacker extend a fender street flares not the cut outs.

But if your wanting 38's the only good it's going to be is for mud because it's going to be too damn tall for anything but show and mud.

yes, this rig is strictly used for mud and daily drive to work (2 miles). Where I live is pretty much bottom lowland and pretty flat. Right now I am running 15/35 tsl's and I am running 4" sus. and 3" body. I am going to put 6" coils up front and was just wondering if 38's would go under there.....right now I only hit the radius arm on the passenger side every once in a while.
Upon research, I may go with 38.5/15.50 tsl radial because according to their chart it measures 37.1" high.....I'm pretty sure that'll fit...thanks for the pic.

Here is the tires I have ran in the past and their sizes:

35/14.50 bogger
35.0 height
12.5 tread width
---------------------
36/12.50 tsl swamper
36.3 height
10.5 tread width
----------------------
15/35 tsl swamper
34.8 height
12.5 tread width
----------------------
And here is the proposed tire I will try to run:
38.5/15.50 tsl swamper
37.1 height
11.8 tread width

ive had 33's on a stock ext cab 99 with minimal rubbage

it took a 3" body lift on my old 87 to clear 33" boggers

i just again stress, i would not run a tire that large on ur current rears....if u didnt notice, most of use that run bigger tires have solid axles and a d44 atleast....

matter of opinion I guess, the d35 isn't that much more weaker than the 44 if all I'm doing is mud running/ pavement pounding....as you can see I've had 35 or 36 inch tires on my d28 for several years and have suffered minimal damage...I've already got a d35/8.8 sitting in the building that I'm slowly building now....matter of fact, I think I only busted one hub in the last 3 years and the usual wheel bearings once every 5-6 months that goes along with tires of that size.....

I was going to let it slide, but I've seen it multiple times.

These trucks only have one "rear" or "rear-end" The front axle is not called a "rear" They could be called axles, running gear, differentials, etc, but they are not "rears". Sorry to be a prick, but it bugs me when they are referred to by an incorrect or misinformed term.:icon_twisted:

why does it matter if everyone knows what is being talked about, if u know the front differential is not a rear, and everyone else knows a front differential is not a rear then why does it matter, sure the term "rears" is used all the time in place of axles

To be honest your the only one that I have seen refer to them as "Rears"

My "Rear" is tucked nicely in my Jeans, my truck has Axles. A front one and a back one.
