So now that you've got that pop up gas cap, how do you get the gas into the fuel cell? Do you some special adaptor that eliminates the cap on the cell? Also, you shoulda gotten the weld in one! lol.

the cap pops up then you grab it and spin it out and fill your gas like normal....they are just neat caps that sit flush. My buddy has one on his chopper.

Well I bought a raised filler neck that replaces the cap on the fuel cell. It's a 45* to clear some bracing under the bed floor. I'll have to figure out a way to plumb the two together but it shouldn't be too difficult.

And that is a weld in fuel cap housing. But I didn't want to weld it in before the truck gets painted to avoid paint lines. I think I figured out a different way to mount it securely in place.

what are you going to paint it?? I would guess something really nice, I just can't figure it out with a pink base coat, UNLESS that is that high dollar U.S.Navy primer that they paint on the sub's, right before the black paint gets all shot up by a jap planes..

With that old one stage factory paint, it turns pink if left in the sun long enough..............

looks to me like they just added a little too much white when they mixed the primer, haha.

My friend works at the body shop. I think he was messin with me. The trucks going to be red. Thats just primer.

I was told they tinted the primer with red to help build a better base coat or something.

The guys said they were gunna make the paint look perfect. I guess they were serious. Certain parts of the bed were pretty straight as far as my eye could tell but this pic tells differently. I can't wait until it's painted! I'm going up next week to pick the color. They are painting a few different test panels red with different pearls.
