Pics of my project

Haha, yeah. I get a parade of cars by my house daily since I live in town. You should see the stares. Probably because theres a cruiser in the driveway along with numerous project vehicles in various stages of completion.

I only changed careers for the retirement and benifits. I'm still a gearhead at heart.

We only had two good storms this winter. Worked out great since I took money on all my yearly paid driveways and only plowed twice!

It's been warm here as well. No snow anywhere, I luv it!

We've got to meet up sometime! I just got to see what else you're working on!!!

The back of my frame has been a very useful jig for cutting and welding! Lol

Awsome build! Do u have any more pics of the front bag set up?

I really don't. I didn't join any forums until after the front was done so I don't have many pics of it. I can take some if you want to see something..

I made even robots jealous with some of the welds layed down tonight. Haha.

I painted it with chassis saver.

Is that chassis saver a brush on paint, and how much is it a gallon???

Dang wish I could weld that nice, the last time I picked up a welder was back in the late 80's and then it was one of the old stick welders.

Tt might be too late, but why not put the bed on hydo's or air to make a tilt bed and show off all the work under it??

I brushed the paint on but it can be thinned and sprayed. Oh, and my first welder was a Lincoln Arc (stick) welder. I haven't used it since I used that Miller 250. No need for it.

I thought about getting even fancier with stuff but I have to have this truck done by next week and to the paint shop because I have to be out of this house. It really sucks having to move while a vehicle is tore apart. Seems like it's impossible to not loose stuff.

Tonight I finally got the bed in primer. Now for the block sanding....

dang that looks nice, and I hate sanding, I use to build R/C planes, and the sanding part seems the worst part, just when you think your done sanding, you have to sand some more.

I thought of a great idea!

Since the FORD logo is in a unique spot, an all around paint job would blend it into the box. You should find some either chrome or diamondplate lettering that's close to the size and font of the letters and stick them over it with 3M sticky tape.

That would be awesome!
