hey, im having issues. i have a 1992 ranger that had a 6cylinder motor, but the motor was gone when i bought the truck. im trying to put in a 2.3 turbo motor out of my 1988 t-bird. i didnt think about the wiring harness at the driver side of the firewall being different than what came out of the tbird. does anybody know if that part of the harness would fit from a ranger 2.3 to the tbird 2.3 or should i sort thru the hundreds of wires from the car? by the way i hate wiring, so which would be easier and less likely for me to f up?

ahh, thats what i didnt want to hear!

wiring harness from a 2.3 ranger works with minor modification, ie. splicing in the VAM connector and moving a few pins

i keep seeing people talking about pinouts, im clueless when it comes to wiring, how do i know what the pinout numbers or whatever are, and does it invole the fuse box or computer?

Those are the input and output pins on the ECM (computer). Look for the pin numbers on the ECM wiring diagram.
