Long story short
1999 ranger xlt flair side 61,000 miles, 4cyl five speed 2wd
one owner truck. buying it from a friend of my dads. The guy I'm buying it from is not the original owner, he won it in a raffle. truck sat for a year before it was raffled off. I have to drive it about 40 miles or so back to my house. has a flashing airbag light and it stalls (didn't do it when I test drove it, but I never let the rpms get too low) when coming to a stop.
I'm bringing all fluids, jumper cables, code scanner, maf cleaner (p0102 code), two way radios and a tire pressure gauge. My father is going with me and will have assorted tools. he also has an AAA card if all else fails
am I missing anything? I'm not expecting problems on the drive home, but I like to be prepared. Once I have it at my house I'm going to get a safety check done through a shop I trust and then I'll do any repairs it needs and a full tune up. This will be my daily driver.
