I'm planning on making a pick and pull run this weekend and was wondering what parts everyone here recommends I grab to have spares of. There was a 2.8l 85 ranger there last weekend I grabbed a few things out of. I'm hoping it's still there and not stripped out too bad. Right now my list includes:
Carb (just to have a spare)
Temp sender unit
Fuel sender unit
Gauge cluster
headlights
tail lights
tires

All recommendations welcome.

Brake calipers, fuses, front grill, anything that you think that could fail.

I think it is a good idea to get a couple of arm rests and door panels. I nailed a nice seat that matches for 50 bucks and now that I think of it I replace all my interior, carpet included for less than a 100 bucks. Also nice to get things like the wiper washer tank and wiper motor and a carb for a core or to rebuild and have ready. I seem to eat speedometers to, just picked up on of them today. For you smoggers in California I think it is a good idea to get as many emissions related things like egr's, thermactor parts and check valves and those electrically operated vacuum solenoids on the inside of the right fender....the list just keeps going if you want the truck to keep going.....
