Petition to request Ford to bring the T6 to North America

You're really wasting you time thinking about it. Ford can't afford to make the changes required to meet regulations. You couldn't afford the extra 25% tax on an imported truck, posted earlier about the "Chicken Tax". Sure be nice if they would or could.

There are ways around the chicken tax, such as importing the truck, partly or near complete from Argentina.

if you remember (cough cough) Toyota done this for a few years and look at their sales.

Ford won't do anything about the T6 coming here. They have too much interest for America with the Ranger going away and the new F100 coming out real soon. Too much on the plate at one time.

they're trying to shove the full size trucks down our throats. more profit for them. no r&d costs, no testing costs, no tooling costs, no import hoops to jump thru on existing rbv trucks sold overseas, etc. i'll just have to find an old replacement when my '83 goes.

The F-100 is dead.

The T6 is nearly the same size as the F-150.

Petition away, it won't matter. The freight to get it here would make the T6 cost more than the F-150.

No it's not. It has already been tested on the roads and it is coming to a dealer near you!!!

The smart thing to do would be make the F100 and call it a ranger

the T-6 isnt as big as an f-150

and yeah a smart move would be an F-100 Ranger

Really? Anything to go along with that? Everything I have heard (from the dealer near me included) is singing a different tune than you are.

The global T6 is 90% the size of the F-150 and is only sold in countries where the F-150 is NOT.

its the same size as the current thai-Ranger which the same size as the new toyota hilux. which is as big as a new tacoma. so the T-6 is similar in size as a new tacoma. and those arent 90% the size of a current F-150, trust me.

the toyota

and if this is what it will look...

looks too generic and way too similar to the toyota
i will die with my 99. that thing is damn ugly

Derrick Kuzak, Ford’s group vice president of global product development says different (as of four days ago)

From link #1

"The new Ranger is 90 percent of the size of an F-150," Kuzak said. "In the rest of the world, compact trucks have grown over time. They’ve become dual-use [vehicles for work and family] and they’ve increased cab size, payload and towing."
