The April issue that I received today has a Rangers buyer guide. Nice to see something about us Ranger owners!!! This will probably get moved but I wanted you guys who mostly post and read on this thread about the buyers guide for Rangers.

Get this issue guys. It's got 'Readers Whoops' in it. And...for all you guys who asked Ranger questions, the magazine has some has some good advice about Rangers.

about time our vehicles are appreciated! every off road magazine i read is all about chevys and how theyre better. if the chevys were/are better than every tech article shouldnt be about how to make them better lol.

Yes, to that, Bro!!!! It's not to often we see any Ranger in these offroad mags!!! I was glad to see an artical about them........YES!!!!

that's because the entire staff at those magazines thinks the only way to build a capable off-road rig is to start with a jeep and put a 350 in it along with a 1 ton drivetrain. it seems like every year they build the same jeep to go on the ultimate adventure.

i dont even look at those magazines anymore b/c they're so biased.

not to mention, i've learned more about engines, axles, etc. in an hour pokin around this website than i ever have in one of those magazines.

i'm glad they did an article on a ranger for a change, but next month they'll go back to their chevy-powered jeeps and in a few months the new cherokee will be "4 wheeler of the year" AGAIN

Read the article, there is some misinformation in it, don't remember off the top of my head what exactly, but it's there.

there was something i read in one of the offroad mags, in the readers letters, he mentioned the ranger station website and said something about the a4ld trans being unreilable. they respoded back that they thought the a4ld trans was pretty tough and reliable. geuss they only had one for a weekend.

No, I read about there Ranger being used a lot and the auto was a good trans and they had no complaints about it. I have had 3 Rangers (one with stick and two with automatics) and 2 BII's with the auto and never had an issue with any of them. All were lifted and one (my current one) is the only 2wd Ranger I have ownd and never had any issues with the tranny. I have had 33x12.5 tires on it for over 8 years now. I trail ride twice a month with it.

last months issue i think it was they had a little 2 page history on the bronco which getting to read anything about ford in thier mag is nice. I think some times they need to change thier name to petersons jeep and chebby magazine.

I probably won't renew my subscription to it ir Four wheeler. They focus on new stuff. I enjoy the UA and TTC stuff, but they think B2's aren't worth dealing with. I challenge them to come and look around our site, and then tell us rbv's arent good for off roading

that'll be too much work for jim....he'd have to go through and change the name to the "silverado station" or the "jeep junction" or some shit like that to fool them into thinking it's a different type of website.

all we have to do is get there foot in the door though, once they see all the threads and pics they'll wanna poke around.....unless the "wiping your ass" thread is back at the top
