Anybody running a Holly 350 and intake on a street motor. How much better was the performance for you? Opinions welcome...:icon_thumby:

wait a min, what yr 2.3 are we talking? if its fi and not carb i dont recommend doing the swap you lose your tuning ability, esp if you have an eec5 motor, you dont have a way to adjust your ign timing since you bypassed the computer. in order for you to run a carb on a trk is to have a distributor style trk that way you can get away from computerized ignition and not throw codes/not run and/or have no advance going on since you have no tps or maf to tell the pcm how far open the throttle is. now if you have a distributor style 2.3 w/ a vacuum advance and already carbed going to a bigger carb and intake would prob have some benefits, unsure since ive never seen or heard of doing so on a 2.3. wasnt trying to be a wiseass but ive seen someppl try to do an fi to carb conversion and lets just say the results were nasty.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the 2.3 motor he has in his rat rod that is already carbed.

he has a 96 2wd ranger too that is eec5/obd2, edis and full efi, just wanted to clarify on it if he was going to try the carb on the 96 trk.
